At the beginning of the semester I was a little nervous mostly because this class is online. I’ve taken a couple online classes before and did fine, but maybe I’m just not used to them yet. I’ve never used Moodle before, but I was able to navigate through it easily and see where everything is.
It was interesting to read everyone’s profiles and learn a little about each other and where we come from (since we don’t meet in real life). I’ve read most of the readings posted so far too. It’s funny how I’ve been using the Internet for so long but never knew how it actually worked! (how we surf and how email is sent, etc). I’ve had some experience with blogs and wiki. WebQuests…not so much. Those are still new to me so I’ll be looking more into that.
I feel I don’t have as much knowledge about technology as others seem to have in the class (especially online-related technology), so I look forward to learning more from everyone and what they have experience with. The technology I’ve had the most experience with so far is basic computer usage, digital cameras, and simple website design (with FrontPage).
I’m currently working on thinking of a third possible discussion topic (everyone has such good ideas I can’t think of anything else so far! Maybe something will come to me though). I need to also think of an idea for my instructional website and write my proposal for next week.

Hi Anna,
ReplyDeleteI had to learn about WebQuests for the first time in a previous class... Computer Applications in Education, I think it was. Designing one seemed intimidating to me at first because I had never even used one from a student perspective before. But don't be worried, the San Diego info is great. They basically give you the template and all you have to do is come up with the topic/assignment.
Thanks. I'll look into that San Diego one. :)
